Weekend Recap of adding a feature wall
We weren’t working with a whole lot to start. As basic as we can get right there….

I knew we wanted an accent wall. I picked the color from Home Depot that was a dark blue with a hint of green.

Measured, cut, nailed and caulked. I wish we would have used MDF board, but we had no idea what we were doing. This was definitely a more rustic look, as you could see the grain of the wood after it was painted. This was pre my desire to flatten the wall texture, so we just painted over the existing orangepeel, which made the process really quick.

It eventually became the nursery, which worked out perfect. Probably one of the easiest weekend projects and highly recommend! This was pre-children so keep this in mind. It would be a lot harder to tackle this in a weekend now that we have kids.
Also, I have heard that accent walls are out. What are your thoughts on that?

Much Love, Chloe
