Women-owned businesses? Absolutely. But mom-owned businesses? Count me in! I have a deep passion for supporting and cheering on fellow moms who are making a positive impact both inside AND outside the home. We juggle so much, and I admire the resilience and ambition that comes with running a business while raising kids.
In this season of giving, please consider gifting from small businesses. Here are some of my absolute favorite mom-owned businesses, both local and not-so-local, that deserve your support! Even if you can’t purchase from them – I highly recommend giving them a follow. They are are sure to sprinkle some inspiration into your day to day.
Ratty Books

I’m still waiting to visit Ratty Books in person (but I’ll finally get there in a couple of weeks). Honestly, I’ve been daydreaming about spending the weekend helping out at the bookstore, and in my mind, it’s turning into a full-blown Hallmark movie—except it will probably be more me yelling at my kids to stop breaking things and then leaving with way too many books!
Ratty Books is owned by my sweet sister-in-law, Caitlin, and is located in the Catskills of New York. It just celebrated its 1-year anniversary! If we’ve been invited to one of your family birthday parties over the past year, chances are you’ve received a gift from Ratty (and didn’t even know it). If you’re looking to shop small and find gifts for the holidays, this is the place to go! It is truly the cutest shop (online & in person) and I am so proud of Caitlin!
PS- I’ll make sure to share how cute it is when I am there IN PERSON later this month!
Toasted by Ky

Up until last year, I had never gotten a spray tan. Honestly, I wasn’t sure I’d ever be the type to try it. But when my dear friend Kylee left the corporate world hustle and started a spray tan business, I was immediately hooked.
Let me tell you, there’s a whole new level of friendship when you’re stripped down to the bare minimum and are standing in front of your friend to get sprayed. But despite the awkwardness, Ky has always made me feel completely comfortable. Her passion for helping women feel radiant and confident is contagious—you leave her studio feeling amazing and filled with positive energy. If you’re in the North Denver Metro area, I highly recommend connecting with her! – Link to her website
Tweed Baby Outfitters

If you’re ever in downtown Holland, Michigan, you’ve got to stop by Tweed Baby Outfitters. Owned by the incredible Maggie, Tweed is one of my all-time favorite stores. You walk in an immediately feel good. That is a true gift right here. Maggie is the epitome of what a working mom can accomplish—she’s built an impeccably curated store that’s both stylish and functional for parents. Not to mention, she’s a blast to follow on Instagram. If you’re in the West Michigan area, you’ve got to visit. If you’re like me and live far away, check out their online store—you won’t be disappointed! Link to instagram here.
Meal Talk

If you don’t know Ali, you should! We met years ago through our husbands’ jobs, and it’s been inspiring to watch her chase her dreams. We were actually at a Christmas dinner a couple of years ago when she first shared her idea for MealTalk, and I couldn’t be more inspired by of the success she’s had, all while raising three kiddos!
As a busy mom myself, I’ve been trying to get better at meal prepping and eating healthier, more balanced foods. The other day, I was talking with my husband about wanting to fuel my body with the right foods, especially in this stage of life. The first place I turned for inspiration was Ali’s website. She’s a wealth of knowledge, and after I had my baby, I reached out to her for advice on what to eat/drink during the postpartum phase. She was there with all the helpful tips. Ali is truly making an impact!
Lucky Linx Permanent Jewelry

I’m beyond excited for my dear friend Glenys, who launching her business, Lucky Linx Permanent Jewelry. If you know Glenys, you know she’s the most thoughtful and creative person. She’s the mastermind behind most of the parties I throw, and she’s always pouring her heart into everything she does. Watching her juggle motherhood while launching this entrepreneurial venture has been so inspiring. Glenys is one of the kindest people I know, and I can’t wait to see her creative goals take off. You definitely want to check out Lucky Linx for stunning jewelry pieces! I have been so very impatiently waiting and can’t wait to buy some pieces tomorrow! – give her a follow here.
Stay Gldn Co

If you know Liz, you absolutely love her. She’s a breath of fresh air who tells it like it is—and I’m here for it. Liz is based in North Carolina (thankfully, because who knows what parts of my body I’d be getting pierced if she were local). A longtime nurse turned spray tan and piercing expert, Liz has built an amazing network and a loyal following.
If you’re ever in need of a good laugh, or just want a real, no-filter look at what it’s like to be a working mom, go give her a follow. And if you find yourself in North Carolina, make sure you give Liz a shout—trust me, you won’t regret it! Link here to her profile.
Supporting mom-owned businesses isn’t just about shopping—it’s about empowering women to pursue their passions, create something meaningful, and show up for their families in the process. I’m so inspired by these incredible women and the impact they’re making, and I hope you’ll consider supporting them too!
With Love, Chloe
