What We Want…What We Really, Really Want
Okay, I’m not going to pretend I speak for every mom because we all have different preferences. But for me, what truly matters is knowing that someone thought of me. And, please no coupons! That said, if I had to choose some of my favorite gifts and things I use on the regular that I wouldn’t necessarily buy for myself… here’s the list:

Bogg Bag
I recently received this as a birthday gift, and I’m obsessed. I used it as a carry-on for a beach trip, and then it became our family beach bag. I also take it to my son’s swim lessons, and it’s perfect for road trips. Professionally, I used it to carry things into a tradeshow. It’s easy to clean, roomy, and ridiculously functional!
Spanx Outfit
I live in athleisure—have since I was five and wore Gap sweatshirts every day. A cute, matching set is my go-to for running errands, playing a round of tennis, or jumping onto a work call. I wear these all the time, and I know so many moms who would appreciate this kind of gift!
Ember Mug
I will shout this from the rooftops: the Ember Mug is a game changer. I use mine every single day. I got one for my boss, I gifted one to my parents, and my sister has one now. I’ve even converted my friends. If you like hot coffee but have kids (or just life in general), this is a total game changer—it keeps your coffee at the perfect temperature for hours, which means you can actually finish it!
Eye Massager
Okay, I know this sounds a little excessive, but hear me out. I tried one while lounging in a salt room at a spa, and I fell asleep in like 2 minutes. It was amazing. I would love to have one at home—something to wind down before bed or just to get 10 minutes of pure peace and relaxation.
Drunk Elephant Skincare
I’m a big fan of nice skincare, and Drunk Elephant is my go-to. It’s a cleaner, more natural line, and their products are great for all skin types. A nice skincare set is always appreciated!
Laneige Lip Mask
Hello, soft lips! I got a sample of this from Sephora for my birthday, and it’s become my nighttime ritual. I use it every other night, and I wake up with the softest lips—even here in Colorado, where the air can be brutal on your skin.
A Plant
I’ll never be upset if my husband comes home with a plant (to clarify…not flowers!). A cute houseplant in a nice pot from Home Depot? Simple, thoughtful, and it always makes me smile.
A Shrub/Tree
And while we’re on the plant theme… how cute would it be if my kids or husband planted a little shrub or tree in our yard for Mother’s Day? It’s such a thoughtful idea, and every time I see it, I’ll be reminded of that moment and how much love went into it. Plus, it’s a gift that keeps on giving! Side note – I have now officially asked my husband to please look at cold hardy citrus plants. Because I would love a good lime tree (for my margaritas).
Hope that helps you build your list or gives you some ideas. Don’t overthink it or overspend, but a thoughtful gift along with a nice card will go a long way!
